St George's Theatre
Once a Chapel and twice a Theatre, the design of this 18th century building was inspired by London's St. Clement Danes, designed by Christopher Wren.
St. George's is Great Yarmouth’s only all-year-round Theatre - it offers live entertainment from top class comedy and amazing musicals to professional plays and community drama. This fabulous Grade 1 listed building is also used for weddings, conferences, indoor markets and antiques fairs. St. George’s Theatre Trust manages the theatre, plaza, and cafe bar in Great Yarmouth’s historic King Street district. We have a small professional team, assisted by a passionate and friendly army of volunteers who give up their time to work front of house, behind the bar and backstage.
